IJCAL publishes critical, comparative, and interdisciplinary scholarship on constitutional and administrative law, with particular attention to public-law developments in the Global South. The journal draws on the normative legacy of the Bandung Principles (sovereignty, equality, anti-colonialism, solidarity, social justice, and public responsibility) as a continuing source of constitutional values.

Scope

We welcome original research articles, conceptual papers, and comparative studies on, among others:

  • constitutional change, constitutional identity, and constitutional adjudication;
  • democracy, constitutional rights, and limitations on state power;
  • administrative law, administrative justice, and bureaucratic accountability;
  • institutional design, public governance, and legal reform in emerging and transitional democracies;
  • comparative constitutional and administrative law in the Global South.

  • Review and editorial decisions: January–February 2027
  • Publication: March 2027

Manuscripts received after the deadline will be considered for Vol. 3 No. 2 (September 2027).

Manuscript Requirements

  • Written in English, 4,000–8,000 words (including footnotes and abstract).
  • Abstract of no more than 300 words, followed by three to five keywords in alphabetical order.
  • Structure: Title, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Method (for original research articles), Analysis, Conclusion, and References.
  • References and footnotes follow the Chicago Manual of Style, 17th edition (full note).
  • Prepared using the IJCAL template available on the Author Guidelines page.
  • Original and unpublished, and not under consideration by another journal.
